...is situated on the Costa de Almería, south-east Spain and enjoys around 322 days of sunshine a year - making it the warmest and driest part of Europe. Even in winter, rarely does the mercury dip below 18°C making this a most pleasurable destination for naturism even out of season.
Naturist Zone
Vera Playa is unique, because it is a naturist seaside resort where you can walk the public streets, promenade and 2 kilometers of sandy naturist beach completely naked and free.
The beach is fringed by the low-rise naturist residential zone made up of 15 fully naturist ‘urbanizations’ connected by public streets where you’ll see naked walkers meandering to the beach where nudity is perfectly normal and accepted.
Stunning penthouse frontline and central to the naturist beach, you couldn't be more in the heart of the naturist zone if you tried!
Frontline Duplex/Penthouse For Sale
Magnificent duplex/penthouse with the best private solarium on the whole bay of Vera Playa, enjoying a millionaire’s view.
Located in the most privileged position directly on the naturist beach.
Truly panoramic...
The best property of its kind in the area because of its unrivalled beachfront position, one-of-a-kind private solarium with expansive Mediterranean views.
Take your lunch naked at one of the beach bars or just have a drink. Even when busy, the beach retains a wonderful atmosphere which makes everyone regardless of age, gender or sexual orientation feel welcome and at ease. This also makes it an excellent choice of destination for the first-time naturist.
If you fancy a change from sunbathing, there are naked activities like volleyball, tug-of-war, petanque and fun-runs. If you prefer to just sit and watch rather than take part - then that's okay too as you'll be in very good company!
The surrounding area is full of activities – golf, water parks, theme parks, boat trips, and water sports – so your holiday can be as active or easy as you wish!

This port and seaside town is about 3 miles from Vera Playa. You can walk there along the beach (clothing required once out of the naturist zone) or alternatively there is a regular bus service to and from Vera Playa.
There is an excellent market on Fridays and lots of small shops, banks, pharmacies and a large Mercadona supermarket.
There are many fish restaurants worth trying on the main esplanade thanks to the thriving fishing fleet operating from the port.
Mojácar
About 6 miles or 15 minutes drive away from Vera Playa, further along the coast, is the holiday resort of Mojácar Playa with plenty of bars, shops and restaurants on a strip that seems to stretch for miles! This can also be accessed by bus from Vera Playa.
Backing Mojácar Playa, in the mountains, is the dazzling, pretty, white village of Mojácar Pueblo, which dates back over 5000 years. The views from up here are breathtaking! You can see the Pueblo in the distance from the naturist beach at Vera Playa.
The Pueblo is a maze of Moorish arches, narrow, winding, cobbled streets and stairways climbing up and down the steep mountainside. Full of artisan shops and commercial and artistic life by day and a lively meeting point with bars and restaurants at night. Can be quite bustling in the evening in summer.
A bus service runs up to the Pueblo from Mojácar Playa.
Vera Pueblo
Vera town (pueblo) about 6 miles inland and is the main commercial centre of the area.
Saturday is market day and is visited by locals and tourists alike from the surrounding towns and villages.
It's a curious little town and we've become quite fond of it.
Go to the main square, the Plaza Mayor, and enjoy the noteworthy buildings - some dating back to the 16th Century.
The church is beautiful and worth a look inside. Put a euro in the slot and the church altar - made of Canadian pine - will instantly light up for you.
Be charmed by the old folk taking shade under the manicured trees in the town square while chatting away with their fellow seniors.
Villaricos
A five minute drive from Vera Playa (or a nice walk) is this quiet seaside village, with a small fishing harbour, marina and promenade where you will find a few bars and restaurants.
A diving school is located here.
Speaking personally, the Villaricos market every Sunday in the square, is our favourite. It is both charming and lively.
Gabo de Gata nature reserve
The natural park covers over 34,000 hectares and is the largest coastal nature park in Andalucía.
It has many stunningly beautiful coves and beaches to explore many of which are naturist friendly.
Explore the abandoned gold mines at Rodalquilar, or wonder at the stunning scenery.
There are wonderful seaside towns and villages to visit too, such as the charming Agua Amarga, San Jose, Carboneras and Isleta del Moro.
I know we're in Spain, but having a coffee at the little restaurant on the slipway at Isleta del Moro always feels like a Greek Shirley Valentine moment!
